Professional Brochure Translation Services

While your website is the digital window to your brand online, brochures harness the same benefits in physical form.

Perhaps the ultimate physical collateral, brochures enable people to take a piece of your business away with them, and help organisations to increase your visibility, present and position your brand your way, increase sales in your services/products, and communicate your core messaging to readers across the territories you work in.

For organisations who trade internationally, professional brochure translation services like ours help to support your international growth, and enable you to engage impactfully with prospective customers or clients across the world, in their language.

Andiamo! were fantastic to work with – they provided a super quick, detailed quote, which made coordinating with our client easy. The timeline they gave us was really clear and they stuck to it perfectly, ensuring that we stayed on track throughout the project. The files were seamless to implement into our brochure designs, and their final review before completion was spot on, catching every detail that needed attention.

What impressed us most was their professionalism and commitment to quality. Plus, their responsiveness to our questions and adjustments was invaluable. We couldn't have asked for a better partner for our translation needs, and we're excited to work with them again in the future!

We have worked with Andiamo! for several years on the translation and typesetting of our gas detector brochures into multiple languages and the end result is always of excellent quality.

I was very happy with the translation, revision and typesetting Andiamo! provided for our Giant's Causeway souvenir guidebook. The final Spanish, Italian, French, German and Chinese editions look great and we have already started working with Andiamo! on our next project!

Andiamo! did an excellent job of translating our tourist exhibition guides into Gaelic, French, German, Polish, Spanish and Simplified Chinese. We’d definitely use their services again!

We are really happy with the translated brochures. It’s of much help during the foreign trade shows that we attend, as well as for our foreign trade partners.

Our Approach to Brochure Translation

At Andiamo, we follow a tried and tested brochure translation process that guides the creation of accurately translated and optimally formatted brochures to help establish or develop your brand internationally and boost global sales.

1. We assess your brochure layout to establish that it leaves enough space for the target languages, or if it needs flipping for right to left languages, conduct checks for locked or ineditable text and ensure that we can extract just the required text for translation. We do this at the quote stage, and discuss the identified limitations and design adaptations required with you in advance.

2. We export the source text into a compatible format for our CAT tool, which analyses the files for accurate word counts, in addition to identifying any repetitions or matches against your translation memory from previous jobs. This then informs our quotation, which we send to you for approval.

3. When approved, we collate the files, send them to our translators, and send you an order confirmation.

4. At the translation stage, your project manager will collate any translator queries, send them to you, and communicate the responses back to our translators.

5. When brochure translations are complete, they’re checked by our in-house linguists, and we raise and resolve any identified errors with the translators before exporting files ready for typesetting.

6. We typeset your brochures, ensuring consistency from document to document, language to language, and conduct post-DTP checks.

7. Send PDF proofs to you for approval before finalising and sending packaged artwork.

8. Finally, we update the translation memory we have for your organisation, with the approved translations in each language, so future brochure updates can be analysed against the TM for consistency and cost savings.

The Role of Localisation

Localisation plays a key role in our brochure translation services, ensuring that language, cultural references, use of symbols, the formatting of times, dates and measurements, images, and use of colour are culturally appropriate for audiences in the territories you trade in. It maximises your brochure’s effectiveness and impact in international markets.

While localisation is perhaps only essential for more creative brochure content, and is something we at Andiamo! assess on a case by case basis, failing to localise could risk confusing or offending readers, and reflect a lack of commitment to customers in particular territories, potentially damaging your reputation and sales in these markets.

We conduct basic localisation as part of the translation and typesetting service we quote for, but can provide a quote for a full localisation service, which offers the peace of mind that your brochures are tailored to the culture of the territories you trade in.

The Role of Typesetting

Typesetting is an essential part of the brochure translation process, transforming translated content into impactful, visual marketing materials that call to be read.

Pre-translation, we look at your brochure layout to ensure that it’s able to facilitate longer translated content, and check that source content font sizes aren’t too small, as it’s not always possible to reasonably reduce small font sizes to support longer translated text without compromising the reader’s experience.

For translations in right to left languages, we also carefully assess brochure imagery to ensure they can be flipped with the page design, and that there are no photo background images, which may not reverse correctly with right to left language typesetting techniques.

We also look at fixing text-related formatting features such as tabbed paragraphs, spaces to indent text, excess returns, and overset text, to streamline the typesetting process later on and ensure consistent formatting across brochures in all of your target languages.

Post translation, we format your content within the page layout, matching the style of your source language brochure, and ensure font sizes are consistent, and that hyphenation for complex nouns in languages like German is correct across each translated brochure.
